A range of care, based on our experience of the needs of the elderly and complementing the services offered by the local CLSC, is provided by our attentive care team.<\/p>\n

The team<\/h4>\n

Our team of dedicated orderlies, patient-focused nursing assistants and qualified night supervisors receive training in accordance with the requirements of the Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services Sociaux. The techniques taught are reviewed and updated throughout their careers, so that they are always on the cutting edge of new care methods.<\/p>\n

Fortnightly visit from the doctor<\/h4>\n

With a fortnightly visit from the residence’s family doctor and the management of medical records by the head nursing assistant, residents who wish to receive on-site medical supervision without having to go outside are well catered for.<\/p>\n

What’s more, our 24-hour staff<\/strong> is a guarantee of safety.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Over the years, residents’ state of health can change. That’s why the residence’s care team, in collaboration with various CLSC and CIUSSS staff, carries out assessments as needed, to ensure that residents are well cared for and receive all the help they need. Residents wishing to receive services can add them to their lease or \u00e0 la carte, depending on the frequency they wish. Personal assistance, domestic help and nursing services are also available.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In the bright, spacious dining room, residents are served at the table, just like in a restaurant. We offer 3 meals a day. During each service, residents choose from a choice of two varied daily menus, with the option of selecting one of the many \u00e0 la carte menus when they feel like it. Meals cooked on site by our qualified chef are based on Canada’s Food Guide and are adapted to the nutritional needs of seniors.<\/p>\n

The daily menus are based on a 5-week cycle, which the chef transforms over the months to prioritize seasonal foods. <\/p>\n

Residents who prefer to enjoy their meals in the comfort of their own apartment can take advantage of a cabaret delivery service on an as-needed or daily basis.<\/p>\n

Manoir Gouin is a proud member of the Regroupement qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois des r\u00e9sidences pour a\u00een\u00e9s (RQRA<\/a> ). RQRA is a non-profit organization of seniors’ residences<\/a>. Its 700 members, managers and owners of residences with over 78,000 rental units across Quebec, provide a quality living environment for independent seniors, as well as assistance and care for those in loss of autonomy. It contributes to the advancement of many key issues for the Quebec housing and seniors’ housing sector, by leveraging its strength as a representative at the political, administrative and operational levels.<\/p>\n

Implementing a process of continuous improvement in the quality of the services we offer necessarily involves training. The Regroupement works closely with key players in the seniors’ housing sector to develop structured training programs that meet the needs of its members.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
