Main responsibilities: The Dining Room Attendant provides table service in the dining room and ensures that the dining room is always kept clean.


Table service
  • Welcoming residents
  • Menu explanations and advice for residents
  • Taking orders
  • Transport clean dishes, utensils and other items to service areas and set tables
  • Prepare trays for assembly in apartments
  • Fill condiment and other containers on tables and in service areas
  • Table service for beverages and meals
  • Receive, if necessary, proof of payment for meals purchased by visitors or residents
  • Clearing and cleaning tables and trays
  • Fill snacks and prepare carts
  • Unpack and store groceries in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas
  • Fill condiment and other containers on tables and in service areas
  • Remove garbage and empty garbage cans
  • Clean worktops, storage units and kitchen appliances
  • Sweep and wipe floors, and perform other tasks to assist cook and kitchen staff



  • Keep the chef or manager informed of any anomalies
  • Any other task requested by his/her superior or by management
